ABOUT DR. HARRISON

Hi Everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit Acute 2 Root. I’m here building this resource to address two needs: provide a lifestyle medicine resource for my EM colleagues and to provide a lifestyle medicine resource for young people.

I’m a Christian, wife, and mother of three little girls. I’m also an EM physician that has a second board certification in Lifestyle Medicine and I’m a high school basketball coach.

I do my best to balance life with priorities.  Although faith and family take precedent, I’m on a mission to transform the health perspectives of individuals, particularly young adults, and root them in principles that equip decisions to build optimal self-care.

Thanks again for taking the time to visit this site! Please sign up for our newsletter or send us an email.  Hopefully, with time, this will grow and be an increasingly helpful resource for you.
